As kids we thought the house would be something our father would have finish while we were still children. But by 1989 I was out of college and working in New York. My sister Carol (right) had finished her nursing degree and married a doctor. My sister Anne (middle) had been married for years, converted to the Catholic religion, and on her way to having four children!
